All Activities Available to Guests

Visitors to any of the Redhills Demesne self-catering rentals can expect a warm welcome and we will do our very best to make sure you enjoy your stay with us.

Many of our walks are through mature hardwood forests and a great variety of wildlife species are resident throughout our 100 hectares of habitat. Depending on the season you might see deer, badgers, mink, red squirrels or foxes. Birdlife is equally varied with pheasant, jay, buzzard, kestrels, woodcock, duck, snipe and ravens together with masses of small birds. In spring the woods are carpeted with bluebells and wild flowers and the colours can be amazing. Similarly, in the autumn the rich texture of brown backgrounds makes a wonderful backdrop to the sky blue of the lake. This is a nature lover’s paradise. Farming at Redhills is carried on in an extensive way with a small flock of sheep that are grazed over the whole estate. Ewes with their lambs are out in the fields all year round. We also keep some young cattle. Visitors can are encouraged to visit all the different parts of the estate including the farmyard.
